Your Role Atlas Copco Comptec LLC is looking for an Engineering Team Leader.
You will report to the Package Engineering Manager.
This position is a hybrid position located in Voorheesville, NY.
The primary goals of this position include:
Supervise and direct the assigned personnel while responsible for the technical aspects of order execution for the complete project cycle.
Responsibilities include monitoring and improving engineering team KPI's including quality cost, applied hours, project costs, and on-time engineering releases of parts, BOM and documents.
Responsible for technical aspects of assigned projects within the project team.
Technical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Issue and maintain the project specific orderbook and ITP in a timely fashion.
Perform engineering calculations required to ensure the safe and successful operation of our equipment.
Efficient disposition of QN/QE's and other quality related issues Provide documentation and instructions for Instruction and Operating Manual and coordinate with Manuals team for organizing the manual.
Schedule assigned resources to meet engineering deliverables based on project plan and customer document submittal schedule.
Provide robust technical assistance to the Project Manager to ensure customers are properly supported during order execution.
Attend customer meetings as required.
Prompt communication with the Project Manager on any issues that may potentially impact the project cost, quality, or delivery.
Coordinate design interfaces with the appropriate Core Engineering Team Leader to ensure a cohesive design result.
Conduct design review meetings to ensure the completeness and the accuracy of engineering deliverables and ensure designs comply with relevant work instructions.
Subject experts and specialists are to be consulted and/or included where appropriate.
Continuously strive to improve the engineering process an eliminate sources of error or delays.
Coach and develop team members, perform yearly performance reviews, provide regular performance feedback to team members, and initiate corrective actions when required.
Maintain accurate and accessible project records, which conform to TBI quality procedures.
Some travel, including international travel, is required.
Occasionally the job will require time outside standard office hours including holidays and weekends.
Comply with Safety Rules, Regulations and OSHA Requirements To succeed, you will need Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university 3
years' experience working in an engineering environment.
Working knowledge of centrifugal compressors and technical specifications related to turbomachinery.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills including communication, teamwork, and ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Proven track record of achieving assigned goals.
